有關禁止繁殖摺耳貓的法例

[size=3][font=新細明體]由於該訊息部分是節錄自先前東[/font][font=Arial]Touch[/font][font=新細明體]周刊的訪問[/font][font=Arial], [/font][font=新細明體]我們察覺到周刊的訪問內容中[/font][font=Arial], [/font][font=新細明體]關於[/font][font=Arial] “[/font][font=新細明體]英美禁止繁殖[/font][font=Arial]” [/font][font=新細明體]一事被錯誤報導[/font][font=Arial], [/font][font=新細明體]所以於此作出更正。[/font][font=Arial][/font][/size]

[size=3][font=新細明體]事實上美國[u]並未有[/u]法例禁止繁殖摺耳貓[/font][font=Arial], [/font][font=新細明體]美國最大貓會[/font][font=Arial]CFA[/font][font=新細明體]亦[u]仍然接受[/u]摺耳貓的註冊。香港部分的專業摺耳貓繁殖者的貓兒就是根據[/font][font=Arial]CFA[/font][font=新細明體]的指引繁殖並登記於[/font][font=Arial]CFA[/font][font=新細明體]名下。[/font][font=Arial][/font][/size]

[size=3][font=新細明體]在英國方面[/font][font=Arial], [/font][font=新細明體]由於保護動物的法例比美國嚴厲[/font][font=Arial], [/font][font=新細明體]雖然英國暫未有法例禁止繁殖摺耳貓[/font][font=Arial], [/font][font=新細明體]但英國最大的貓會[/font][font=Arial] – Governing Council of the Cat Fancy (GCCF) [/font][font=新細明體]已經不接受摺耳貓的註冊[/font][font=Arial], [/font][font=新細明體]於他們的網頁中寫道[/font][font=Arial]:-[/font][/size]

Under these circumstances it has never been recognised and [b]we strongly advise members of the public not to try to acquire cats of this breed[/b].[/size][/font][/color]

[size=3][font=新細明體]雖然未有一個國家的法例列明禁止繁殖摺耳貓[/font][font=Arial], [/font][font=新細明體]但早於[/font][font=Arial]1987[/font][font=新細明體]年歐洲已有[/font][font=Arial]15[/font][font=新細明體]個國家簽署 (簽署國現已增加至21個) 由歐洲委員會[/font][font=Arial] ([/font][font=Arial]Council of Europe) [/font][font=新細明體]制定的國際公約[/font][font=Arial] – European Convention for the Protection of Pet Animals[/font][font=新細明體]。公約第[/font][font=Arial]5[/font][font=新細明體]條列出[/font][font=Arial] “Any person who selects a pet animal for breeding shall be responsible for having regard to the anatomical, physiological and behavioural characteristics which are likely to put at risk the health and welfare of either the offspring or the female parent.”
[/font][font=新細明體]委員會更於[/font][font=Arial]1995[/font][font=新細明體]年[/font][font=Arial]3[/font][font=新細明體]月就繁殖寵物頒發指引[/font][font=Arial] (Resolution on the Breeding of Pet Animals), [/font][font=新細明體]有關摺耳貓繁殖的節錄如下[/font][font=Arial]: -[/font][/size]

[size=3][font=新細明體]雖然在以上法例中看不見禁止繁殖摺耳貓[/font][font=Arial], [/font][font=新細明體]但如果所繁殖出來的動物是會受到痛苦的話[/font][font=Arial], [/font][font=新細明體]這便是犯法。由此可見[/font][font=Arial], [/font][font=新細明體]繁殖有遺傳病的摺耳貓應該被法例禁止。[/font][font=Arial][/font][/size]
